Holy cow! The speed my dog could get on this harness is insane. We've been biking together for a few years on just a standard back clip walking harness and I finally decided to try one actually made for biking. Immediately I could tell she was way more comfortable but it's like she also realized what a larger range of motion she had. We were flying thru the streets and she looked so happy. I do kind of wish I would have purchased the adjustable one instead though just because her waist is super small and so the harness is slightly loose on her, but not enough to ever come off.
I absolutely LOVE both of these products. I bought the X-back harness for Skijoring this winter (haven't used it for that specifically yet because of no snow) but it has been great for running! My German shepherd/Husky mix likes this one much better than the previous running harness we had. It doesn't slip and shift as much on him. The only downside is he could potentially back out of it if he was scared enough. If your dog does that a lot, you may want to consider a different type of harness. He was also a little longer on the length and a little smaller than the chest of the recommended size (he was Large in chest and XL in length). We bought a Large and it still fits very well despite not being exact in size.
The bungee lead is exactly as you would expect. I accidentally bought the wrong size, but will probably go back and buy the larger one because I like it so much.
On another note, there was a shipping issue (at the fault of the shipping company not Neewa) and Philip from Neewa addressed the issue timely and got the issue resolved. He was very helpful and it was much appreciated. I will continue to purchase from Neewa in the future.
So two things1} Make sure you measure your dog!!The end of the harness should come to the base of the tail...not past the tail that is a incorrect fit..same with if the harness doesn't even make it to the base of the tail..like the review with the dog wearing the yellow harness..that harness is way to small for that's dog..2} I wish there were more reflective strips on the harness in more then one spot..especially for those of us with long haired dogs..you can't see the front strips through my huskies neck fur..there definitely needs to be more strips..I will be adding more to mine.
I have a female Siberian Husky that weighs about 50-55lbs. I did all the measurements, and I bought a large in Pink. It does fit, however, it is a little tight on the neck. Also, a little short on the back, but I am afraid to go up a size because I fear it may be too big. It doesn't cause her any discomfort whatsoever, and she runs just fine with it on. I will keep this one. It is just for fun with a sled to get her more running exorcise. I do like the padding it has for her comfort.
So, Im going to try it out before I buy a 4XL.... but bear is a 135 pound Saint Shepard! My nieces and nephew have been begging me since last winter to buy him a harness so he can pull them in a wagon ( possibly sled ) Im worried that its too snug around his fat neck! Lol but Im excited to try it out
